CURRENT and UPCOMING EXHIBITIONS

TOM PHILLIPS: WORKS ON LITERARY THEMES
THE CHARLESTON TRUST
Charleston, Nr. Firle
Lewes, East Sussex.
2nd April - 4th May 2003

Tom's note on the Charleston Trust exhibition: "It seemed appropriate at Charleston to make an exhibition with some leaning towards literature. The ghosts of writers that pass through these pages and images include Dante, Homer, Virgil, James Joyce, Plato and the Victorian twin to whom I've been shackled for almost 40 years, W.H. Mallock. Guest appearances are made by Samuel Beckett and Iris Murdoch both of whom I have met and spoken to. Despite all these references and the presence of heavyweights such as Mallarme and Wittgenstein the works are meant primarily to be looked at and I hope enjoyed."

What may have seemed like hibernation has been, in fact, a period of reassessment and rebuilding. Stay tuned for updates and improvements to the site.

And at long last, the oft-promised anthology of pages covering a friendship that began in the 1960's, continued steadily and heartily into the new millenium, and begat the sport of "piano tennis."

Future editions of this site will include new works, multimedia, and some of Tom's recently published writing. Additions will be made throughout the month of May, with 'new update' notices appearing on the home page.

All best wishes,
JOHN NICK PULL <editor, tomphillips.co.uk>
